Broker Management Continuing Education
Changes in
the Illinois Real Estate License Act of 2000 required the creation of
a six-hour course for the continuing education of Illinois real
estate brokers. This course is
intended to provide the knowledge and tools necessary to be an
effective real estate broker in the state of Illinois.
All Illinois Licensed Brokers must complete the required
Illinois Broker
Management Course by April 30th, 2010.

What is
required?
The Broker
Management Continuing Education course is a six-hour, classroom,
continuing education course delivered through a combination of
lecture, discussion, simulations, and small group formats
There is
no “grandfather” provision in the law; therefore, this
course will be for all real estate brokerage licensees specifically
licensed as real estate brokers in Illinois.
The Illinois Department of
Financial and Professional Regulation has
announced it will be accepting submissions for Illinois Broker
Management Home Study Programs! Courses submitted could be
approved as early as February 14th, 2008. Click

A class schedule and contact information for
all approved Illinois Broker Management providers can obtained
by following the links on the left side of this page. Class
registration is preformed on an individual basis by the student with
the continuing education provider.
